Club at New Seabury Announces New Golf Staff

The Club at New Seabury is an upscale, resort community located on Cape Cod in Mashpee, Massachusetts and situated on over 1,500 acres of land bordering Nantucket Sound offering a 42,000 sq. ft. clubhouse and two championship golf courses - The Ocean Course & Dunes Course.

Mashpee, Mass – The Club at New Seabury, a private golf community featuring two championship golf courses – the Ocean Course & Dunes Course – overlooking Nantucket Sound, has made some changes to its golf staff.

The four new additions include: Andrew Stolze, as Head Golf Professional; Jimmy Damiano, as Director of Instruction; Dominic Scopone, as 1st Assistant Golf Professional; and Taylor Nickerson, Assistant Golf Professional.

“We have assembled a great golf staff to complement our world-class golf amenities, and we look forward to providing our members and guests a best-in-class Cape Cod golf experience,” said Jim Clay, Director of Golf who joined The Club at New Seabury mid-season last year. “I am proud to assemble a team of professionals who bring passion and skill to their craft. No matter if our members or guests are beginners, recreational or avids, we have a refreshing approach and the right people to make your golf moments, into great memories at New Seabury.”

Andrew Stolze has been named head golf professional at the Club at New Seabury.

Andrew Stolze, Head Golf Professional, is a veteran in the golf industry and most recently served as the Head Golf Professional at Harrison Lake Country Club in Columbus, Indiana, since 2017. He has also worked as the Head Golf Professional at The Country Club of Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana. Andrew is a graduate of Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI, and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Marketing & Professional Golf Management. He was a qualifier for the 2014 PGA Professional National Championship and a 2012 National Assistants Championship.

Jimmy Damiano has been named Director of Golf Instruction at the Club at New Seabury.

Jimmy Damiano, Director of Instruction, is originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and has worked at some of the nation’s top private clubs, including Castle Pines Golf Club, Nantucket Golf Club, and the Glen Oaks Club in Long Island, New York. Serving as Lead Instructor at the McLean School at The Doral Resort in Miami, Florida, Jimmy spent countless hours honing his craft under the watchful eye of Jim McLean. As a longtime owner and advocate of Trackman, he utilizes state-of-the-art technology to deliver an understandable message to his wide range of players.

Dominic Scopone has ben named 1st assistant golf professional at the Club at New Seabury.

Dominic Scopone, 1st Assistant Golf Professional, most recently served as an Assistant Golf Professional at Andalusia Country Club in La Quinta, California. Previously, Dominic was an Assistant Golf Professional at The Old Overton Club in Vestavia Hills, Alabama under Jim Clay for two seasons. He also served as an apprentice at Milwaukee Country Club, Emerald Dunes and Easthampton Golf Club. Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Scopone is a graduate of the Professional Golf Management Program at Ferris State, where he earned a degree in Business Administration. In March of 2017, Dominic earned his Class ‘A’ PGA Membership.

Taylor Nickerson, Assistant Golf Professional, returns to New Seabury for his second season. He is currently in Level 1 of the PGA Professional Golf Management program and spent the winter season working at Rancho La Quinta Country Club in La Quinta, California. Nickerson grew up in Mashpee, Massachusetts, and attended SUNY Canton, where he played two years of college golf.
