Rob Duca Joins the New England.Golf Team

Rob Duca, whose sports writing career spans over 30 years, and who has earned 35 national and regional writing awards, with his work appearing in Sports Illustrated, the Boston Globe, Yankee magazine, Cape Cod Life and many other print and online publications, has joined the staff at NewEngland.Golf.

BOSTON, Mass – New England dot Golf, a digital marketing platform that highlights the best of golf in New England and beyond, has announced that award-winning sports writer Rob Duca has joined its team of golf writers.

Rob Duca joins a team of veteran golf journalists that include Bruce Berlet, Steve Pike, Leigh MacKay, Ed Travis, John Ingoldsby, Gregg Ford and Pam Borges. The total combined experience in the golf media industry exceeds 250 years.

In his new role, Rob will be providing weekly contributions ranging from interviews, travel, lifestyle, real estate, commentary and special assignments.

Rob Duca brings more than 40 years of professional journalism experience to New England dot Golf. His background includes 25 years as the lead sports columnist at the Cape Cod Times, where he covered professional and amateur golf, and Major League Baseball, the NBA and the NHL. For the past nine years, he has been editor of New England Golf & Leisure magazine, profiling the likes of Jack Nicklaus, Rory McIlroy, Brad Faxon, Pat Bradley and Gil Hanse.

He has won more than 35 national and regional writing awards, and his work has appeared in Sports Illustrated, the Boston Globe, Yankee magazine, Cape Cod Life and many other print and online publications.

“I look forward to joining the team of writers at New England. Golf,” said Duca, from his office on Cape Cod, where he has lived since 1985. “This is a wonderful opportunity to continue covering golf – a sport I am passionate about.”

Duca is a member at Olde Barnstable Golf Course and Hyannis Golf Course, and is a long-time member of the Golf Writers Association of America.
